Freedman, Bernard "Bernie" September 14, 2007 died peacefully at his home surrounded by loving and caring friends. Bernie was one of a kind. He celebrated living with gusto. Never shy to opine on all matters of life. A better friend could not be found; we all loved his honesty, care, humour and bluntness. A brilliant graphic artist who for many years headed the Art Department at Canadian Tire. He designed their now famous logo. A celebration of Bernie's life will be held at Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W., Toronto, on Wednesday, September 19 from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Princess Margaret Foundation, 610 University Avenue, Toronto, M5G 2M9 would be appreciated. Published in the National Post on 9/18/2007.
