DIAMOND, Gordon Stewart Passed away suddenly without pain on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at the age of 81 to be united with his loving wife Evelyn, and his brother Mac and Bob. He is survived by his brother Don and his sister Ruth (Turner). "Uncle Gordon" will be greatly missed by his neices, nephews, and their families along his many wonderful friends and neighbours. He was a dedicated employee of B.C. Forest Products, Victoria Sawmill for 39 years, where he met some of his life long friends. His amazing gift of art, his unique sense of humour, along with Ev and Gord's warm hospitality give us so many fond memories. Thanks to Dr. Crofton, the wonderful staff and care givers of Luther Court (second floor, east, you are exceptional!) and Diane Dumont for making a difference. A Memorial Service to celebrate Gordon's life will be lead by Pastor Daum on Saturday, September 8th at 2:00pm at Glad Tidings Church, 1800 Quadra Street, with light refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation as a tribute to Gordon can be given to the B.C. Guide Dog Services, 6050 44th Ave., Delta, B.C. V4K 3X7 or B.C. SPCA, 3150 Napier Lane, Victoria, B.C. V8T 4V5 or the charity of choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com 401578 Published in the Victoria Times-Colonist on 8/22/2007.
