John Francis DRONZEK

DRONZEK, John Francis January 16, 1946 August 18, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John at his home in Cordova Bay. Born and raised in Winnipeg, John received his diploma from Lakehead University before beginning his 33 year career with the Ministry of Forestry. An avid outdoorsman, John relocated to Victoria in 1969 and loved spending time at Island View beach with his beloved family and dogs. He enjoyed gardening in his extensive vegetable and flower patch, as well as curling and baseball during his retirement years, but took special delight in spending time with his grandchildren. Defined by his selflessness, generosity, and tireless wit, John will be sorely missed by his wife Marla, children Brodie, Jaimie (Eric), and Subreena (Zsolt), grandchildren Keegan, Madison, Jaidan, Emma, and Myah, and his brother Bernie, sister Barbara, and sister-in-law Gloria. John's life and legacy will be celebrated in a memorial service at 11am today, Thursday, August 23rd at Sacred Heart Church (4040 Nelthorpe Road, Saanich).
