WINDOVER, Leonard Allen - In Loving Memory of Leonard Allen Windover 1945 - 2007. The family announces with sorrow his sudden passing at his residence on Wednesday September 19th, 2007 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of the Late Sandra (nee Timmins). Loving father of Lenny (Friend Mallory), James (Tracy), Sandra Windover, and Norman. Friend of Norma. Cherished papa of Madison, Raegan, Kennedy, Sophie, Dustin, Dakota and Alexis. Treasured brother of Kenneth, Gordon (Lori), Helen (Richard) Vezina, Pearl (Joe) O'Connor, Dennis, Betty (Danny) Windover, Late George Windover, Joy (Tom) Goddard, Evelyn Calidonia and Donna (Merle) Baumhour. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends. Leonard worked in the mining industry throughout his life before retiring in 2006. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren's lives, and enjoyed sharing stories about them. He took great pleasure in spending time with his many life long friends. Leonard was an active member of A.A. and was proud of his 34 years of sobriety. He volunteered regularly with the Samaritan Center. He was a dedicated Leaf's fan. He will be sadly missed for his great sense of humour and his laugh. Remembrance donations made through the funeral home to Good Samaritan Inn will be gratefully acknowledged by the family A Funeral Service to celebrate Leonard's life will be held at STINSON FUNERAL HOME on Saturday September 22nd, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Ave., South Porcupine.
