CHENIER, Yvan - On Sept. 20, at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, surrounded by family and friends, Yvan peacefully left us to join his mother and father. Born on June 17, 1948 in Timmins, Ont., Yvan was the third son of Lucille and Guy Chenier. He was raised in a warm and loving French Canadian milieu, where at a young age, he became known for his humour and love of life. Entrepreneurial endeavours took Yvan in many directions but he spent the last several years becoming an “extraordinary“ person. He mentored many younger members of the family and colleagues and brought laughter into all our lives. He is survived by many friends, his long time partner Fort Hui and five brothers: Gilles (Lynda) of Orleans, Marc (Vivian) of Barrie, Berny (Denise) and Roch (Marie) of Timmins and Daniel (Nancy) of Montreal. He also leaves a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles to whom he was very close. Our family would very much like to thank all those who prayed for Yvan during this difficult time and the doctors and nurses of St. Michael's Hospital for the wonderful care and attention Yvan was given and the kind gestures made towards our family. Friends may visit at the ROSAR- MORRISON FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 467 Sherbourne St.(south of Wellesley) on Saturday from 6-9 p.m. A Memorial celebration of his life will be held in the chapel on Sunday at 1 p.m. The family requests that wishes of condolence be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice. 10836167
