ROSSY, Edmund P. 1928 - 2007 Après une courageuse lutte contre le cancer, le 22 septembre 2007, à l'âge de 79 ans, est décédé M. Edmund Rossy, époux de Shirley Assad. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Carol (Peter Malouf), Alan (Roula Zeenni) et Joanne, ses petits-enfants: Stephanie, Patrick, Christopher, William et Daniel Malouf, Michelle, William et Christopher Rossy, Philip et Éric Tabah, ses soeurs Georgette Chacra et Agnes, ses frères Michael (Celia Shamy), Edward et Raymond ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces, parents et amis. Il rejoint ses frères Theo, Walter, Fred et George. On se souviendra de lui comme d'un époux, d'un père, d'un grand-père et d'un ami dévoué. Son intégrité, sa générosité et son implication dans son église ont toujours été grandement appréciées par ses pairs. Il a été un des présidents de l'église St- George Antiochian Orthodoxe et un membre à vie de l'Ordre de St-Ignatius. Edmund était un partenaire fondateur des magasins ''S. Rossy Inc.'' et de ''Dollarama''; tous le respectaient, employés comme associés. Papa sera toujours dans nos mémoires pour son courage, sa grâce et son honneur. La famille recevra les condoléances à l'église St-George Antiochian Orthodoxe, 555, Jean- Talon Est, Montréal, dimanche de 19 à 21 heures, lundi de 14 à 17 heures et de 19 à 21 heures et le mardi 25 septembre 2007 à compter de 10 heures. Suivront des funérailles en la même église dès 11 heures. Au lieu de fleurs, des dons en sa mémoire, à l'église St-George Antiochian Orthodoxe seraient grandement appréciés. La famille désire exprimer leur gratitude aux Drs April Shamy, David Melnychuck et Barry Stein, aux infirmières Graetha et Kathy et à Mina ainsi qu'à toute l'équipe des départements d'oncologie et de soins palliatifs de l'hôpital Général Juif de Montréal. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie, Patrick, Christopher, William and Daniel Malouf; Michelle, William and Christopher Rossy; Philip and Eric Tabah. Proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Salim and Katrina, brother to Georgette Chacra, Michael (Celia Shamy), Agnes, Edward, Raymond and the late Theo, Walter, Fred and George. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His commitment, sense of duty and generosity was much appreciated through his involvement with his church and its beautification program. He was a past president of St George Antiochian Orthodox Church and a life member of the Order of St Ignatius of Antioch. Edmund was a partner of "S. Rossy Inc" and founding partner of "Dollarama" stores. He was highly respected by his employees and associates. Dad will always be remembered for his courage, grace and honour. We will cherish him and his legacy forever.
