BIGRAS, Real J. - After a courageous battle with cancer, Real J Bigras was called home by his Saviour on Saturday, September 22, 2007, in his 78th year. He was a beloved friend, companion and husband for 58 years to his loving and supportive wife Marian. Real is also survived by his loving mother-in-law Eleanor James, brothers Gaetan (Mary) and Ray; and extended family Elmer and Laura Kochie, Cathy and Gary Cloutier, and several nieces and nephews. Real moved to Sarnia from Noranda Quebec in 1956 working as a Electrician in construction, then as a Toll Supervisor at the Blue Water Bridge, and was also a former owner of Sarnia Drywall Supply. Real was a former member of the Sarnia Horticultural Society, Aquarium Society, Sarnia Humane Society, Branch 62 Legion, Sarnia Liberal Association, Sarnia Rotary, the Rotary in Yuma, Arizona, where he received the Paul Harris Fellow Award and was made an Honorary member. Real had many hobbies that he enjoyed, one of which was gardening with his buddy Don Sim then they shared the harvest with all. Real was a man of honesty, integrity, and a very fair boss. His happy joyous spirit and generosity will live on in our hearts. At Real's request there will be no visitation. A private interment of ashes will be at a later date.
