Alice Margaret CAPES

TICE, Alice Maude (Capes) - Passed away peacefully in her 97th year at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia on Thursday September 27, 2007. Beloved wife of the late William Walter Tice (1983). Her life has been blessed with the love from her children Eileen (Gordon 1999) Young, Oil Springs, Ken and Fern Tice, Point Edward, Sharon and Bob Beggs, Sombra. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Alice was born in Sombra Township, August 11, 1911. She spent most of her married life on a farm in Moore Township (St. Clair) and retired to Wyoming in 1975, then to Thompson Gardens, Corunna a few years after her husband passed away. She was a member of the Wilkesport United Church. She enjoyed/loved her knitting, playing cards, games and gardening and always centered her love around her family, friends and church. Predeceased by parents James Alford and Emily Georgina (Rumbold) Capes and four brother and three sisters. Friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME BRIGDEN on Sunday September 30, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday October 1st at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Susan Woodhouse officiating. Interment Bear Creek Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Wilkesport United Church, Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of choice.
