EATON, Mary Elizabeth (nee Van Kirk) - Passed away peacefully at home, RR#3 Yarker surrounded by family on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at the age of 58, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by her loving husband Ken Eaton, daughter Vanessa Eaton-Acken and son-in-law Steve Acken. Mary is predeceased by her father Henry Harrison Van Kirk, grandma Key, aunt Irene, grandma Van Kirk and uncle Gord. Lovingly remembered by her mother Margaret Willis, sister Cathy Evans, brother- in-law Trevor Evans, aunt Josephine, nieces Kellie Evans-Hinzmann and Gillian Lediard (Mark), nephew Michael Evans (Brooke), great-nieces Brittanie, Sabrina and Kailynn, uncle Ross and cousin Carol. Mary will also be missed by brother and sister-in-law Stuart and Dorothy Eaton and family. The family wish to express their thanks for the tremendous support and care from family, friends, the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario and Dr. Joanna McDonald and the palliative care support team. The family will receive friends at the WARTMAN FUNERAL HOME, 448 Camden Rd. at Newburgh Rd. Napanee K7R 1G1 (613-354- 3722) on Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 12 - 1 p.m. Memorial Service at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow.
