Roger Yvon GILBERTSON

GILBERTSON, Rognvald M.T. - Unexpectedly, but peacefully and painlessly, in his sleep on October 1st in his 73rd year. He was predeceased by his younger son Malcolm of Kingston and his sister “Susie“ of Kirkwall, Orkney, Scotland. He leaves his wife of 51 years and his older son Graham and daughter Catriona. Ron was employed by the Limestone Board of Education for many years from 1979 until his retirement at Loyalist Collegiate. A gifted musician, he has played with many bands in Scotland and in the Kingston/Belleville area. In many genres from classical, through jazz and pops, Gilbert and Sullivan to salsa. Not only a teacher and musician, he was a mentor and friend to countless people. Please join us Saturday, October 6th at L.C.V.I. in the cafeteria at 2 p.m. to Celebrate His Life. 10851056
