BLACKWELL, Ruth Nina (nee McNeely) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on October 1st, her 85th birthday. Predeceased by her loving husband Rod (December, 2006). Loving mother of Elizabeth Groves of Peterborough and Katherine Tortell of Toronto. Cherished Grammy of Alison Pearson and her husband Matthew of Waterloo, Andrea Groves of Ottawa and Rebecca Tortell of California. Mother-in-law of Douglas Groves and Louis Tortell. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Extendicare for their kindness, compassion and caring. Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough. Funeral service to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday in the chapel. Interment to follow at Little Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Extendicare Peterborough would be appreciated by the family. 10850681
