LAING, John Thomas - Order of the Eastern Star, Kingston #146 Lifetime member Minden Lodge #585 Peacefully he slipped away at the Helen Henderson Retirement Home on October 4, 2007. John is predeceased by his wife Mabel Laing (February 2007). Cherished father to Hugh Laing (Sue), Heather (Jim) James. Predeceased by his daughter Vera (Dave) Combe. Grandchildren Catherine Gallant, Sherri Lee Parsons (Andy), Chet McCallum (Lori), Jennifer White (Darrell), Tracey Rideiro (Al), Andrew Laing (Amy), great-grandchildren Jessica Gallant, Troy Gallant, Jordan King D.J. and Shyann McCallum. Friends will be received at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, Township Chapel 435 David Dr. Kingston (Taylor Kidd & Centennial Dr.) from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. on Monday October 8, 2007. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment to follow at the Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. In memory of John donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. An Eastern Star service & Masonic service will be held on Monday night starting at 7:00 p.m. 10853873
