LAST, Lorne Cecil Regionald - Lorne passed away at the age of 77 on October 3, 2007 after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Elaine (Smallwood) and step-father to Natasha. He is lovingly remembered by his children Linda, Bruce (Sharon), Brian (Kim), Geri (Evan), Christine (Bill), Sheila (Russell), Angela, Darlene (Ed); his grandchildren Syd, Karrie, Jordy, Jason, Angela, Joshua, Jessica, Roger, Melissa, Jonathon, Steacy, Lindsay, Colleen, Christopher, Amy, Jamie, Chelsea, Mitchell, Luke, Braden, John, Amanda; and great- grandchildren, Noel, Nathan, Logan, Metias, Ford and Xander. Lorne was born on May 29, 1930 in Vernon, Ontario and was predeceased by his parents Bernard and Emma (Park). He is remembered by sisters, Marion (Willis) and Marina (late Willie), brothers Gordon (Claire) and Keith (late Audrey). He worked for the Ontario Hydro as a linesman in both Cobden and Kingston until his retirement in 1988. Lorne loved the outdoors and spent many adventures with his family hiking, fishing, camping and chopping wood. Many people would remember his friendly spirit through his unexpected visits or striking up a conversation with new people. While living in both Cobden and Kingston with his first wife, Nina (Gilchrist), and his children he spent many hours at the rink to teach his children to skate or coach hockey. His grandchildren remember their grandfather's love through the regular family gatherings and the games he played with them. We are all so very fortunate to have had such a dedicated and wonderful man in our lives and would like to celebrate his life in a service on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at St. Andrews United Church, 1 Redden Street, Kingston, Ontario, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. 10854304
