JOHNSON, Joan (nee Groves) - Peacefully at Extendicare Kingston on Thursday, October 4, 2007 with her husband Gordon at her bedside. Survived by daughter Sandra Doyle and her husband Ken, son Gord Johnson and his wife Cindy, granddaughters Cassie, Alison, grandsons Steven, Mark, Kris, Shane, William and great grandsons Memphis and Max. Cousin of Bill Bennett and his wife Lois. Sister-in- law of Bernice Lambert and her husband Bevan. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Extendicare Kingston for their loving care of Joan over the past three years. Resting at JAMES REID CATARAQUI CHAPEL (1900 John Counter Blvd). Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery. Reception to follow in James Reid Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kingston Family YMCA - Natalie Lambert Swim, Canadian Diabetes Association or Kingston M.S. Society would be appreciated by the family.
