KOWALYK, Cecile Marie - A resident of Chatham died peacefully with her family at her side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus on Friday September 28, 2007 at the age of 87. Born in Pain Court daughter of the late Francis J. and Melda Couture. Cecile was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Women's League and prayer groups, she was also a volunteer at Riverview Gardens and active in the community. Beloved wife of the late William Kowalyk and Bert Lucier. Dear mother of Annette & Reginald Robertson, London; Hector & Vickie Lucier, Pain Court; Louis & Eve Lucier, Chatham and Nancy Vandergulik, Lucan. Memé to 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Sister of Leona Lozon, Chatham; Marie- Jeanne Couture, Pain Court; Yvonne Richie, Chatham and the late Ovila Couture, Marion Letourneau and Adele Charron. Sister-in-law of Bertha Caron and Rita Couture, both of Chatham. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Sunday September 30, 2007 from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be offered at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Dennis Wilhelm officiating. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Pain Court. Donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
