WATSON, Irene “Rene“ (nee Gallie) - Rene passed away suddenly, peacefully, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton on Sunday, September 23, 2007. She leaves her two beloved sons Norm (Burlington) and Tim (Brantford). Rene will be sadly missed by Norm's wife Judy, her grandchildren Erin and Adam and her son Tim's life partner Jim. She is predeceased by her husband Tom (1961), her parents Mary and Bill Gallie and her sister Ellen (Nellie) Wilson. Rene was dedicated and valued employee of the Hamilton Port Authority and before that the Canada Steamship Lines (CSL). Upon her retirement, Rene volunteered over 3,000 hours with the Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association and became a life member in 1999. She was also a life member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hamilton and very active with the church's social committee. At Rene's request, cremation and burial at Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 1p.m. in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rene's memory to the charity of your choice. 10839834
