The funeral service for Hearst resident Oliva T. Lizotte, 68, of 12 Gilles St. is to be held June 15 (Friday), 2007. He died June 7 in Hearst. Born March 14, 1939 in Ste-Perpétue, L’Islet, Québec, he came to the area in 1978. An auto bodyman by trade, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Predeceased by a brother Christian Lizotte in 1967, he leaves his wife Thérèse (née Couillard), daughters Nathalie (Sylvain) of Hearst and Caroline (Jasmin) of Montmagny, Qué., and sons Pierre and Sébastien (Crystel) Lizotte, all of Hearst. Also surviving are sisters Philomène (Raymond), Noëlla (Denis), Nicole (Yvon), Carole (Marcel), and a brother Eddy (Linda), all of Québec, grandchildren Geneviève, Sabrina, Andréanne, Alexandra, and Maxime, many nieces and nephews, and Gilles and Diane Daigle. Rev. Rémi Lessard is to direct the 4:15 p.m. service at Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral. Commemorative donations may be made to Hearst’s Foyer des pionniers Nursing Home.
