PORLIER, Albert - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Monday June 25th, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Son of the late Henri Horace and of the late Marie Louise (née Gour) Porlier. Beloved husband of Yvette Porlier (née Dupuis) of Sudbury. Loving father of Jacques Porlier (Beatrice) of Sudbury, Angèle Chartrand (Paul) of Noëlville, Lorraine Courchesne (Claude) of Alban, Michel Porlier (Caryl) of Morinville, Alta., Lise Sharp (Mike) of Manitick and Lucie Lemieux (Luc) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his son Roland. Also predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Gabrielle Bureau (late Edmond), Lucien, René (Rosa of Sudbury), Gérard (late Evangeline), Gilbert (late Alice), Jean (late Lina) and Henri (late Rita). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 16 grandchildren and his 10 great- grandchildren. Predeceased by his granddaughter Linda. Mr. Porlier was retired from M.T.O. after 23 years of service. Prior to moving to the Sudbury area, Albert was a long time resident of Alban, where he took great pride and joy in his greenhouse, showing off his production of vegetables. He will rest in peace but remain in our hearts forever. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre- Dame), Sudbury, Thursday, June 28th, from 11-4 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated.
