FARQUHARSON, Iona Pearl (nee Logan - In loving memory of Iona Pearl, 90 years, of Pioneer Manor who passed away Sunday, July 1st, 2007 at the SRH- Laurentian Site. She was born in Midland. Iona loved life and lived it to the fullest and on her own terms. She had been the District Commissioner in the Girl Guides of Canada for many years. A life long member of the First Baptist Church where she had actively participated in the church's ministries and fellowship. She was an avid hockey fan especially for the Sudbury Wolves and Toronto Maple Leafs. Iona had a wonderful sense of humour. She loved to hear and tell jokes and stories. She enjoyed afternoon drives with her husband and she was always ready for a car trip anywhere and anytime. Even at the end of her earthly journey Iona maintained the ability to make family laugh and feel loved. Beloved wife of Alexander Farquharson predeceased 1982. Loving mother of Donald predeceased (wife Helen), Brenda Stevenson (husband Harold predeceased), Connie Lee (husband Joseph) and Heather Kennedy (husband Ted). Cherished grandmother of Hope, Scott, Patrick, Susan, Jennifer, Andrew, Jaye Dallas, and the late Lance and Douglas both predeceased. Dear great grandmother of Trisha, Ben, Eamonn, Brenna, Katie, Shannon, Jake, Layne, Bailey and great great grandchild Quinn. Dear daughter of William and Matilda Logan predeceased. Dear sister of nine brothers and sisters all predeceased. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Wednesday, July 4th, 2007 at 11:30AM. Interment in the Parklawn Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society (Sudbury Chapter) or First Baptist Church would be appreciated.
