MENICAN, Nicholas (Nick) Jr. - June 15, 1947 - June 28, 2007. After a brief battle with cancer, Nick passed away on June 28, 2007, just days after celebrating his 60th birthday. He is survived by his children Gabe and Addie and wife Maureen. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his parents Nick and Betty Menican and his sister Ann (Doug Hayes). He is predeceased by his mother Jeanne. Nicky was born in Buffalo, N.Y. and raised in Sudbury, attending St. Louis deGonzague, Sacred Heart College and St. Charles College, where he was an honour student and an avid high school athlete. After moving to British Columbia over 30 years ago, he became a millwright and worked in northern B.C. He also lived in Toronto and Montreal for short periods of time, but always returned to his true passion, British Columbia, settling in Squamish with his family. Nicky's twins were the light of his life, always being extremely proud of their accomplishments and wanting the best for them. Being a father was very important to him.
