Yolande Martin (née Gauthier), died at Smooth Rock Falls on June 21, 2007. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Cultural Association and The Golden Age Club and she loved gardening. She is survived by children: Denis (Sue) Martin of Prince George , B.C., Jeannine Martin and Ed Wardlaw, Gérald (Leigh Ann) Martin , and André Martin and Tarra Gagnon, all of Smooth Rock Falls, Aline Martin and Gavin Edmunds of Gravenhurst; one sister, Gisèle Grenier and one brother, Phillippe (Madeleine) Gauthier. Also surviving are grandchildren: Richard and Gina Martin, Michelle Demeules, Julie and Louise Martin, Jordan and Ashleigh Medwid, Kristen and Bradley Martin-Pye, Keith Stanowski and three great grandchildren: Ethan Martin, Noa Martin, Trixie Demeules. She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene Gauthier and Marie Dufour and her brothers and sisters, Charles, Lucien, Fernand, Léonne Landry, Claircy Beauparlant, Simone Duquette and Maurice Gauthier. Father Léo Papineau led the funeral service June 25, 2007 at Ste Gertrude Church in Smooth Rock Falls. Internment will take place at the SRF Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Smooth Rock Falls Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral director was the Génier Gauthier Funeral Home.
