Lucille Lecours nee: Trudel, of Hearst The funeral service for retired Hearst businesswoman Lucille O. (née Trudel) Lecours, 76, of Pivabiska Lake was held July 20, 2007. She died suddenly July 17 from heart failure. Born July 4, 1931 near Mattice into a family of six girls and three boys, she moved to Hearst with family at age 10. Following her marriage to school classmate Jean ‘Johnny’ Lecours, the couple started up the Lecours Motors Sales Ford dealership, with Lucille running the financial side until 2001. Active with the Notre-Dame Hospital auxiliary, the local trappers council, and volunteering at Ecole Ste-Anne and with the fire dpt, she enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, the family cottage, tennis, bowling, walking, flowers, and needlepoint. Predeceasing her were parents Albina and Louis Trudel of Hearst, sisters Annette Labrosse of Kapuskasing and Alice Nice of Timmins, brothers Raoul and Robert Trudel, both of Hearst, son-in-law Tom Gage (Etobicoke), and brothers-in-law Louis Labrosse (Kapuskasing) and Fred Nice (Timmins). She leaves: her husband Jean-Paul Lecours of Hearst; daughters Louise Gage of Etobicoke, Mona (Raymond) Villeneuve of Sudbury, and Renée (Rémy Poliquin) Lecours of Hearst; sons Marc (Julie) and Jean (France Frenette-Lecours) Lecours, all of Hearst; sisters Pierrette (Flo) Martel of Welland, Denise (Dr Gaëtan Lamontagne) Christianson of Hearst, and Colette (John) Wrinn of Cornwall; and brother Tom (Julienne) Trudel of Hearst. Also surviving are: grandchildren Andrée and Adam Gage, Valérie, Patrick and Shawn Lecours, Angèle, Christiane and Ronald Villeneuve, Maxim, Sophie and Joëlle Lecours, and Sara, Kyana and Simon Poliquin; great grandchildren Audrée and Hugo Lecours; and sisters-in-law Carmen Trudel of Hearst and Yvonne Trudel of Ottawa. Rev. Rémi Lessard directed the service at Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral, during which son Jean Lecours read the eulogy. Interment followed at Monsignor Pierre Grenier Cemetery. Commemorative donations may be made to Hearst’s Foyer des pionniers Nursing Home. Posted on 2007-07-25
