MARKWART, Hedwig “Heart“ (nee Urbandski) - In loving memory of Hedwig “Heart“ Markwart (nee Urbandski), 85 years, who passed away Saturday, September 22nd, 2007 at the SRH-Laurentian Site. She was born in Wishart, Saskatchewan and married Adolph Markwart in Regina in 1946. Hedwig worked 2 years at the Prince Albert Hospital then 2 years at the Regina Hospital where she met Adolph. During WWII she served for 4 years as an RNA with the Canadian Armed Forces. A proud Canadian, she was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br #553 Chelmsford. She enjoyed camping, RVing, crafts, canning and crocheting. She will be remembered as a terrific cook who loved hosting family dinners. She and her husband Adolph were a wonderful team whether tending the vegetable gardening or raising a family, they did it with love. Beloved wife of Adolph Markwart of Chelmsford. Loving mother of Ralph (wife Lillian) of Chelmsford and Caroline Predon (husband Greg) of Azilda. Cherished grandmother of Donna (friend Raymond), Cale and Laura; and great grandchildren Stephanie and Alison. Dear daughter of Mike and Mary Urbandski predeceased. Dear sister of several brothers and sisters all predeceased. At Hedwig's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation with private committal at the Maplecrest Cemetery, Dowling. In lieu of flowers donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME.
