EVELYN, Leslie, E. - In loving memory of Leslie E. Evelyn, 82 years of Sudbury who passed away Tuesday, September 25th, 2007 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Center. Gone to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was born in Barbados. Leslie loved life and lived it to the fullest with compassion and commitment. He was very active in our community, always quick to help others. A man of faith he was a dedicated member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle actively participating in the Church's ministries and fellowship. Leslie can echo the words of Paul who wrote “I have fought the good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith.“ Sadly missed by Pauline (Digby) Evelyn. Loving father of Robert (wife Patricia), Peter Harris (wife Catherine) and Helen (Husband Mark Gibson). Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Gayle, Simon, David and Michael and 6 great grandchildren. Dear son of Charles and Helen Evelyn predeceased. Dear brother of Dorothy Taylor, John, Victor and James Evelyn; predeceased by Sylvia, George and Muriel. Well remembered by many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service in Glad Tidings Tabernacle, 1101 Regent St., Sudbury Monday, October 1st, 2007 at 2 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers donations to the Elgin Street Mission or charity of choice would be appreciated. (Friends may gather at the Church after 1:30 p.m. Monday).
