HAWIE, Michel - Passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday September 20, 2007 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Lillian (Delaney) Hawie (1997). Dearly loved father of Michael Hawie and his wife Joanne (Filice) of Oakville. Loving grandfather of David and Daniel Hawie. Dear uncle of Mona (George) Maalouf and Fouad (Marcelle) Mirschak. Predeceased by his sisters Lily Mirschak, Margaret Mirschak and Violet Hawie and his brothers Elie and Edmond Hawie. Mr. Hawie worked at Marine Midland Bank where he was the vice-president of international banking before joining Occidental Chemical Corp. where he held the title of corporate comptroller. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Scapular Church. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date in Fairview Cemetery. The Vigil for Mr. Hawie will be celebrated Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
