Fred SACCO

SACCO, Fred Sr. - In the presence of his loving family on September 20, 2007 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, in his 88th year. Predeceased by his loving wife and best friend, Rose Sacco (Senese). Fred will be dearly missed and loved forever by his children Vicki Hollett (Sacco), Anthony (Butch) (Barb Grant), Dolores Sacco (Fiore Campigotto), Fred Sacco Jr. (Jo-ann Sacco), all of Niagara Falls and Jackie Taylor (Andrew Taylor) of Vernon, B.C. All his grandchildren, Mark Baldinelli (Annette), Leanne Stalone (Joe), Andrew Baldinelli, Fred Sacco (Adrianna), Andrew Sacco, Stephen Shwedyk, Jessica Shwedyk, Jana Sacco, Christopher Sacco, A.J. Taylor and Hannah Taylor and his great grandchildren Nicholas, Michael, and Johnathan Baldinelli and Lauren and Olivia Stalone, his sisters Mary Primerano and Sylvia Paone. Predeceased by his parents Victoria and Anthony Sacco, his sisters Ruth Grochowski, Angela Sirianni and Jenny Langdon. He will be sadly missed by his best friend Mike Melymuka (Emily). Fred was the founder of Sacco Construction Ltd. (1952). He was one of the original patients of Heart Niagara, a very active member of the Lions Club, also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion (WWII Veteran). Fred was a long time volunteer with the Chippawa Riverhawks and other charitable organizations. A special thank you from his family to Unit D staff, GNGH, doctors Dobbin, Harpur and Brown for their very special care during his stay in hospital and palliative care nurse Susan Berry and volunteer June Foxwell (Cupolo). Mr. Sacco will be at the Morse & Son Chapel of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, where his family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church on Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, if so desired, may be made to Heart Niagara or Niagara Falls Lions Park, Redevelopment Project, as Fred was the co-chair.
