NICKEL, Frances - Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2007. Beloved wife for 57 years of Gene Nickel. Loving mother of Mona (Marcel) Maurice, Carla (Barry) Duchaine, the late Eugene, Doug (Kim) and Brian (Tracy). Survived by her daughter in law Patti. Dear grandmother of ten and great grandmother of four. Sister of Father John McElligott, Dr. Joseph (Betty) McElligott, Berenice (the late Lou) Paoli and the late Raymond (Margo) McElligott. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Frances was employed as a teacher for many years with the Niagara South District School Board. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at HETHERINGTON & DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL; 5176 Victoria Ave. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at St. Antoine De Padoue; 4570 Portage Road at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Interment will take place at a later date at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
