DeRUYTE, Judy (nee Pierce) - It is with great sadness the grandchildren of Judy DeRuyte announce that she has become an angel with God. She passed away peacefully on September 29, 2007 at the Dunnville Hospital in her 56th year. Beloved wife of George for 36 years. Caring mother of Cathy Minor (Todd), Christine Dekker and Karen Medvic (Gerry). Loving grama of Tyler, Ryan & Kayla Minor, Samantha & Curtis Dekker, Ethan & Abby Medvic. She will be sadly missed by her mother Hedy Pierce and her siblings Debbie Marr (Jim), Gail Fraipont (Rick), Joe Pierce (Becky) and Mary Ellen Rae (Dave), and many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Fred Pierce. Judy was born and raised in the Wainfleet area, where she dedicated her life to raising her family. She was a lifetime member of St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church and their C.W.L. Judy's family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Monday from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at St. Elizabeth's Church at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery. We would like to give special thanks to Dr. Scallan and nursing staff of the Dunnville Hospital for their kindness and thoughtfulness.
