ALBANO, Albert Sr. Peacefully at the Woodlands of Sunset in Pelham on Sunday September 30th at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Mary Albano (Pylypiw) (1999). Loving father of Albert Jr. (Susie), Jerry (Christine), and Ralph (Yolande) all of Welland . He will be sadly missed by his six grandchildren and twelve great grand children. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Albert was predeceased by his parents Maria Angela (1958) and Raphael Albano (1972) and also brothers Frank (1970), Jim (1987), Fred (1991), Vito (2007), John (2007) and sisters Helen Gobbi (1989), Mary D'Amico (1994). His family is most greatful to the staff at Woodlands of Sunset for their thoughtful care over the past seven years. Respecting Albert's wishes there will be no visitation. Cremation to take place with a private memorial service to follow at a later date. Interment of ashes at Holy Cross Cemetery in Welland . “When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me I want no Rites in a gloom filled room why cry for a soul set free.” If desired as expressions of sympathy donations can be made to the Welland Hospital Foundation or Toronto 's Sick Children's Hospital.
