Greta Mary SMITH

SMITH, Greta Mary Peacefully at Broadview Nursing Centre, Smiths Falls on September 17th, 2007 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond Boyd in December 1980. Dear mother of Richard (the late Sharon), Ronald (Nancy) and Helen Baker (James) and dear grandmother of Steven (Linda), Robert (Dorathy), Mark (Monica), Jennifer Baker (Robert) and Stephanie Baker. Our gratitude to the nursing and support staff at Broadview who cared for our mother with expert skill and compassion. Born in Smiths Falls to Elizabeth Andress and Ernest Lane, Greta was predeceased by her six siblings. She lived most of her life in Jasper, Ontario and worked alongside her husband to establish their farm machinery business which is now owned and operated by Richard and his sons. Greta was an accomplished oil painter creating many landscapes now cherished by her family. She was also an avid crafts person and quilter. Cremation. Friends are invited to attend a service at Wolford Chapel, 705 Kilmarnock Road, Jasper Monday, September 24th, 2007 at 2 pm.
