Charles Edward CLARKE

Passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Saturday, September 29, 2007. Charles Edward Clarke, of RR 4 Durham, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of the former Dorothy Scace. Loving father of Nancy (Wayne Lawrence) and Alan Clarke (Jena). Grandpa to David and Jonathan Lawrence and Mary Lynn (Mike von Muhlenen). Predeceased by his brother Don. Chuck was a member of the Dundalk Legion and the South Grey Hunter’s Association. Visitation was held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Chuck’s life was held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Swinton Park on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Rev. Mark Davidson officiated. Words of remembrance were given by Ken Harrison. Murray Irwin and Audrey Dowling sang, “Railroad to Heaven,” and Ken Harrison sang “Falling Leaves.” The flower bearers were Mary Lynn von Muhlenen, Jena Tanner and Melissa Hastie. The pallbearers were Alan Clarke, Wayne Lawrence, David Lawrence, Jonathan Lawrence, Michael von Muhlenen and William Hawkins. The committal service and interment was held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Cemetery, Swinton Park. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
