GUPTA, Minna (nee Salik) - In loving memory of Minna (nee Salik) Gupta, 87 years, who passed away Thursday, October 4th 2007 at the SRH Laurentian Site. Minna was born in Sorgodha, India and married Gopi Chand Gupta in 1945, in India. Minna trained as a nurse in Simla India and then nursed in Simla. She immigrated to Sudbury with her 3 children in 1963. She nursed at the Memorial Hospital as head nurse in pediatrics and geriatrics. Then she became director of nursing at the Manitoulin Centennial Manor, Little Current. She retired after 50 years in nursing. She faithfully attended and participated in the eucharistic celebrations at the Church of the Epiphany. Beloved wife of Gopi Chand Gupta predeceased 2000. Loving mother of Christopher (Madhu), Christine Bassett (John) and Rita Van Der Hooft (Michael). Cherished Gigi of Jeff (Chantal Du Pasquier), Vanessa (Steve Dunlop), Brandon, Melissa and great grandchild Samantha. Dear daughter of Aqbar and Zora Salik predeceased. Dear sister of Saleem, Abany, Bawi, India; predeceased by four sisters and one brother. Funeral Service in Church of the Epiphany 85 Larch St., Sudbury Saturday, October 6th, 2007 at 2 p.m. Cremation with interment beside her husband at Civic Cemetery.
