KAVEN, H. Allan - In loving memory of H. Allan Kaven, 72 years of Sudbury who passed away Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Sudbury and married Velma (Koski) in 1954 in Sudbury. Allan was a hardworking man with an inspired work ethic. He worked at INCO for over 30 years retiring in 1985. He also owned and operated his own Construction Company to the present time. He was a gifted carpenter who did things right. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing and ATVing. He also was a good dancer. He had a great sense of humour and he was a wonderful story teller. Allan was devoted to his loving family especially his precious grandchildren who often worked with their “Pappa“. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Beloved husband of Velma (Koski) Kaven of Sudbury. Loving father of Robert (wife Christine) and Michael (wife Lise) both of Hanmer, Joyce (husband Craig Lammi) of Wahnapitae and Carolann (husband Bart Marcoux) of Ottawa. Cherished Pappa of Sean (fiancée Melissa), Jacob, Samantha, Josh, Curtis, Kyle, Collin, Dylan, Jadyn and Brennan. Dear brother of Sally Hakala of Sudbury, Harry (wife Jenny) of California and William predeceased. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Saturday, October 6th, 2007 at 2 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. (Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Friday and after 1 p.m. Saturday).
