MENDE, Karl Rudolf (Rudy) - In loving memory of Rudy Mende (age 93), who passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Manor in Elliot Lake on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. Rudy was born in 1914 in Falkenberg, Germany, he immigrated to Canada in 1951 and lived in the communities of Sudbury, Webbwood, Massey and Elliot Lake. Predeceased by his first wife Ella, and his second wife Ursula. Father to Harald (wife Annemarie) of Germany, Peter (predeceased) and Jutta (husband Brian) of Elliot Lake. Grandfather to Julia (husband Anthony) of Sudbury, Andre (wife Claudia) of Germany and Randy of Sudbury; Great-Grandfather to Sophie, Riley, Jessica and Yasmin. He will be remembered by his family and friends for the good food and food times at Ursula's restaurant, DJ'ing community dances, Bingo calling at his retirement and nursing homes and most recently as the author of the book “This is the Story of My Life“. Out of respect for his wishes no viewing will be scheduled. Interment services will be held at Webbwood Protestant Cemetery on Saturday October 6, 2007 at 10:00 A.M.. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family. Arrangements by BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME, Espanola. 10854640
