MCLURG, Joan Elizabeth Long time educator with Limestone School Board Peacefully at home, in Inverary, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, September 28, 2007, in her 63rd year. Joan (nee Hamill), beloved wife and best friend of Lorne McLurg of Elginburg, for 41 years. Lovingly remembered by her children Heather and her husband Chris of Inverary, Jenny of Kingston, Jon of Elginburg and Sheryl of Kingston. Dear sister of Jim Hamill and his wife Marge of Dundalk, Jean Wilcox and husband Gavin of Kingston, NB, Janet Hamill-Miller and husband Harry of Bradford. Joan is predeceased by her parents David and Caroline Hamill and brother John Hamill. Remembered by her step-mother Florence and her husband Frank. Also sadly missed by her nieces Sheila (Terry), Carolyn, Glenda (Michael) and nephew David (Jessica), and by her loving United Church Family. Joan's passions were gardening, breeding monarch butterflies, Mission and Service work, and most importantly, her cherished family. Friends will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Joan's Life will be held at INVERARY UNITED CHURCH, on Friday, October 5, at 11:00 am., with Reverend Bill Whiston officiating. Inurnment to follow at Latimer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UHKF (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) or Inverary or Battersea United Church, in Joan's memory. (Donations by cheque only please). 10847265
