Howard Henry ALEXANDER

ALEXANDER, Howard Henry - At St. Josephs Lifecare Centre on Wednesday, October 3rd. 2007, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of 67+ years to Ruth (Simpson). Loving father of Robert and his wife Rosemary (Hopkins), of Port Stanton, Ont. Kathryn Robinson, Brantford, and Wendy and her husband Murray Percival of Woodstock, and Papa to Justin Percival and his wife Lindsay (McGuiness) of Brantford, and Kimberly and Michael Jensen and Great Grandson Andrew of Vanessa. Sisters Audrey and her husband Roland Harris of London, Ont. and Gladys and her husband Ray Pringle (dec.) of Woodstock, as well as his nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Robert and Edith (Mason) Howard was predeceased by a daughter Betty Ruth (still born) and sisters, Bobbie, Myrtle, Viola, Velma, and a brother Hilton. Following employment at Fleet Aircraft in Ft. Erie, Ont. Howard and Ruth were partners in building and operating the Cres Mar Restaurant and Service Station at Cainsville in early 1950. Howard retired from the Massey Verity Works in 1980 after working for 27 1/2 years as a tool room machinist. He was a member of Local 458 UCW, and of Balfour St. United Church. Howard was a resident of Tranquility Place from 1990 until illness forced him to transfer in Aug.2005 to St. Josephs Lifecare Centre. Howard requested no visitation and cremation with interment at a later date in Cayuga Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to TRANQUILITY BURIAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 276 St. Paul Ave. (519) 757- 1654.
