Alcide Melanson MEMRAMCOOK, NB - Alcide Melanson of Gayton's passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Friday, September 28, 2007 at the age of 76. Born in Malakoff, he was the son of the late Zoel Melanson and the late Elizabeth Caissie. He worked at Westinghouse as a transformer repairman for 32 years until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Alma (LeBlanc) Melanson; two daughters, Claudette (Robert) Long of Sackville and Darlene Melanson (Paul) of Memramcook; three sons, Mark (Vickie) Melanson of Amherst, Dennis (Darlene) Melanson and Wayne (Nicole) Melanson both of Gayton's; one sister, Dorilla Gallant (Camille Landry) of Shediac; two brothers, Alderice Melanson (Julia Hebert) of Shediac and Omer (Joanne) Melanson of Moncton; five grandchildren, Melanie, Marina, Venessa, Mathieu and Mario; one step grand-daughter; Crystal; two step great grandchildren, Kenedi and Brady; and by several nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, 15 Rte La Vallee, Memramcook on Sunday September 30 from 7 to 9 pm and Monday October 1 from 2 to 4 and 6:00 to 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic church, St-Joseph at 7:00 pm. Arrangements are in care of Dupuis Funeral Home. www.dupuisfuneralhome.ca October 01, 2007
