MCELVENY, PHYLLIS ANNE (Nee Bronnum) - At the Hamilton General Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday, September 29, 2007 in her 80th year, Phyllis McElveny, beloved wife of the late Douglas Arthur McElveny (1980). Loving mother of Derek (Sherri) McElveny of Brantford, Ontario Sally Jo (Bill) Coxhead of Burford, Ontario. Much loved Ammie of Karli and Katie (Dan). Dear daughter of the late Viggo and Ethel Bronnum of New Denmark, New Brunswick and sister of the late Leitha and Alton Bronnum. Also missed by two very special spaniels, Chelsey and Charlie. Phyllis was a retired employee of Boddy, Ryerson, Houlding and Clarke, where she worked for 25 years; was a participant in numerous bridge groups and one of her favourite social activities was spending time with the "Boddy Babes". Phyllis was a wonderful, kind, generous and gentle lady. We will truly miss her humility, her ability to always see life's glass as half full; she will never be forgotten. Friends will be received at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road North, Brantford, Ontario on Monday 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service at Grace Anglican Church, 15 Albion Street, Brantford on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Farringdon Burial Ground. If wished, memorial donations to Grace Anglican Church, Victim Services (Court Program), Camp Trillium or the Children's Safety Village gratefully appreciated.
