Harold R. SMITH

Harold R. Smith Harold R. Smith, 89, of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday September 30, 2007. Born in Montreal, PQ, he was the son of the Late Roland Alexander and Grace (Wright) Smith. Harold was a retired pipe fitter for CN Rail. He was a member of the Anglican Church of Canada, member of the Royal Canadian Legion and served overseas for the duration of the Second World War. Member of Acacia Lodge NO. 49 F&AM and Past Master of the Bethel Lodge NO. 40 F&AM in Edmunston, member and past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, member of Luxor Shrine Temple Saint John, Moncton Shrine Club and was an avid curler and golfer. Harold will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Elsie (Hill) Smith, and his extended family. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home 1657 Mountain Road Moncton, (858-1995) on Wednesday October 3, 2007, 2 to 4, 7 to 9, Acacia Lodge NO. 49 F&AM will hold a memorial service Wednesday at 6:45pm at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday October 4, 2007 at 2pm. Rev. Brent Hamm officiating. Reception following the service. Interment in Miramichi Cemetery.
