ZADOROZNY, Doris - With sadness, the family of Doris Regina Zadorozny announces her passing on Friday September 7, 2007, at her home in Stratford, Ontario. Doris was born in Helsinki, Finland on April 10, 1915. She came to Canada at age 13 with her parents John and Olga Koskela. In 1949 she married Walter Zadoronzy. After Walter's death in 1962 she became the sole support of her three children and her mother. With courage and determination she guided her children to adulthood and her mother through her peaceful final years. Her quiet strength has been a shinning example for all who had the pleasure of knowing Doris. She will be greatly missed by her children Karen and her husband Bob Rogerson, Maureen and her husband Bob Clement and John (Mick) and his wife Pat Zadorozny. Grandchildren Nicole, Allison, Kim, Adam, Andrew and Matt have memories of laughter, companionship and a love of animals and nature. Great grandchildren Cameron, Rylan and Ethan also benefited from her joy of life. Cremation has taken place. A private funeral service will be held on Saturday September 29, 2007. Friends are invited to attend a gathering to honour Doris at the home of her granddaughter Nicole Chisholm at 882 Reg Pope Blvd., Timmins on Saturday September 29, 2007 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. To acknowledge Doris' lifelong love of animals, donations to the Humane Society or to the Canadian Wildlife Fund would be greatly appreciated and may be made through the W.G.
