MACHIN, Charles Roberts - Proud Veteran of World War II, R.A.F. Kingston Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, October 14, 2007, following declining health. Charles Roberts Machin, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of 64 years to Dorothy Haywood. Loving father of John Machin and his wife Jackie of Kingston, Jane Askin and her husband Wayne of Ottawa and Bob Machin, also of Kingston. Proud grandfather of Scott and Christine Machin and Dawn and Jeffrey Askin. Also remembered by his sister-in-law Nancy Folger. Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Wednesday from 5 - 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday, October 18, 2007 for service in the chapel of the funeral home at 3:30 p.m., the Reverend Brian Yealland officiating. Cremation to follow with a private interment at a later date. As expression of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (Donations by cheque only please). 10865795
