Peter VERKLEY

VERKLEY, Peter - passed away peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Watford Quality Care Nursing Home in his 89th year, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Gezina (Stokman) Verkley (2006). Loving father of John (Patti-Jo), Joe, Paul, Frank (Dorothy), Cecilia, Maria (Don Green), Phil (Doreen), Ed (Nora), Tom (Cathy), Dave (Patricia), Jeff (Teresa) and daughter-in-law Anne- Marie Verkley. He was the proud Grandpa of twenty grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. He is survived by his brother John (Meip) of Thedford and sisters Cook and Cecilia of the Netherlands and predeceased by Hanny and Coop, also survived by sister-in-law Truus Stokman of Strathroy. Visitation will be held in the DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. Internment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the VON would be greatly appreciated. Parish Prayers will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 4:00 P.M.
