POUTNEY, Richard “Dick“ - At the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in his 85th year, Richard “Dick“ G. Poutney. Beloved husband of the late Doris Poutney (nee Dinsmore). Loved father of Carole Webb and her husband Charles of Sauble Beach, William and his wife Maureen of Toronto, Ronald and his wife Bernita of Florida, Linda Poutney, Paris. Loving grandfather of Richard and Russell Webb; Conor and Neil Poutney; Rhonda Placourakis, Robert and Erin Poutney and 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers William, Frank and Gilbert. Also remembered by nieces and nephews. Dick was a retired employee of Anderson and Marsh where he worked 25 years and was the owner of Shamaranne Park for 10 years. He served with the RCAF for 5 1/2 years and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1141 Woodstock and Royal Canadian Legion, Dunsdon Branch 451. The family will receive friends at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Rd. N. on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be in the chapel on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Rev. Barry Bain of Fairview United Church will officiate. If wished, memorial donations to the Cancer Society, the Lung Association or your favourite charity gratefully appreciated.
