PETRI, Veronika E. - Veronika Petri died peacefully at North Bay General Hospital, after a brief illness, on Thursday, 11 October 2007 in her 77th year. Veronika (Wawerla) was predeceased by her husband Henri Petri (1930-1999) and by her daughter Ursula Johnson (1950 - 1999) (late Ron). She was the loving mother of Monika Robert (Luc) of North Bay, Marina Munro (Sam Fields) of Powassan, Annemarie Thomson (John Mulready) of Regina, Sask., Henri Petri, Jr. (Gaetanne) of Nipissing, Carl Petri (Lorraine) of Dundurn, Sask. and Helga DesBlois of North Bay; Veronika is fondly remembered by her son-in-law Paul Thomson of Chisholm. She was Grandmother of Shane, Heidi, Jason, Melissa, Hannah, Amanda, Patrick, Erica, Little Henry, Stephanie, Daniel and Robbie and Great-Grandmother of Austin, Nicolas, Kaylee and Levi. Veronika was the dear sister of Hilde Schamber, Magda Wagner and Elli Hohman, all of Germany. Veronika worked at Eastholme, Powassan for over 20 years and her husband operated Henri's Painting and Decorating. The Petri family will receive visitors at the PAUL FUNERAL HOME on Saturday from 1 to 2 pm. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 in the Chapel. Cremation to follow.
