Howard L. NIECE

NIECE, Howard (Snaz) L. - Of Port Colborne loved, he laughed, he lived a full life until Friday October 5, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Florence Niece, loving father of Jim of Sherkston, Larry (Dianne), Tim (Debbie), Barry (Judy), Rob (Sally) all of Port Colborne, Karen (Harri) Mattila of London and Howie (Lisa) of Port Colborne, dear grandfather of a baker's dozen (13) and great grandfather of 2, brother of Pearl Minor of Port Colborne and Alvin (Nora) Niece of Gasline. Mr. Niece was a veteran of World War II and served with the Tank Corps, 23rd Field S.P. RCA. He worked at John Deere in Welland from where he retired. Snaz was a devoted and loving family man, an avid golfer, a smooth dancer and enjoyed a good glass of wine. Cremation has taken place. The Niece family will receive visitors at the PORT COLBORNE CHAPEL of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES 135 Clarence St. on Tuesday October 9, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. Interment of ashes will take place at Overholt Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Henderson Hospital, the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the Port Colborne General Hospital.
