SCOTT, James - Our Papa passed away Sunday morning October 7, 2007. Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy Louise Scott (Reynolds), and his daughter Belinda Parise. Remembered by his granddaughter Marni and her husband Les Pirbus, and grandsons Scott Parise and Tere Parise and his wife Roxanna. Papa's sister Sylvia lives in Otago with her husband Terry Holmes. Papa was so proud and overjoyed to be the great-grandfather of Nicholas Pirbus, Erica Pirbus, Marcus Parise and we baby Isabella Parise. Brother in law John Benedict and his wife Audrey of Cape Cod Massachussetts. Jim was predeceased by his parents Jim and Mary Scott (Bell) and his brother Douglas all in Scotland. Jim was born August 18th, 1920 at his home, Otago, in Dumfires, Scotland. In 1951, Jim brought his family to St. Catharines with $5.00 in his pocket and big dreams. Dad was a member of the Royal Navy during World War 2 and worked at General Motors until his retirement. Jim and Peggy owned and operated MacMor Kennels in Beamsville for 30 years. His dream was to build his own home on the escarpment so he worked 25 acres of graperies until he could afford to buy the land. Peg and Jim were blessed with wonderful friends who will understand Dad's wishes for cremation and no visitation. Dad survived cancer for 46 years and he would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. We will never really be without you Papa, love will hold us all together.
