MALINA, Mrs. Janina Mariana - Peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Sunday, October 7, 2007. Beloved Wife of the late Joseph (November 25, 2004). Cherished mother of the late Douglas E. Malina (April 17, 1974). Dear sister of Helina Mitrowski of Toronto (the late Stanley January 13, 2003). Loving aunt of Barbara Bertram her sons Daniel and Richard of Caledon, Andrew Mitrowski (Denise) and their children Mark and Samantha of Newmarket and Robert Mitrowski of Australia. Janina was in a concentration camp in Ravensbrig, Germany before coming to Canada in 1949 settling in Ridgeville and a year later moved to Fonthill. She was also a very caring nurse at the Welland Hospital for over 30 years until her retirement. Visitation will be held at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Thursday, October 11th from 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Thursday Evening at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alexander's Catholic Church, 50 Pelham Town Square (at Station Street) Fonthill on Friday, October 12 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with interment in Fonthill Cemetery. A donation in memory of Janina is being made to the Welland Hospital Foundation through the Pedlar Funeral Home Lifetime Memories Program. 10856469
