MIHALYI (CHIKY), Barbara Peacefully, with her family at her side, on October 11, 2007 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husbands Dan Csiki (1948) and Frank Mihalyi (1987). Loving mother of Margaret Tanner (Mekker) and her husband D'Arcy of Niagara Falls and Bill Chiky and his wife Donna of Welland. Cherished grandmother of Dan (Carol Ann) Mekker of Florida, Nancy (Tracy) Mekker-Jones of Ajax, Marion (Peter) Wiskar of Hamilton, David Mekker (Kevin) of Hamilton, Gail Chiky of Toronto, Wayne Chiky of Welland and great grandmother of Michael, Trevor, Connor, Amanda, Michelle, Jessica, Alessandra and Trevor. Dear sister of Ann of Romania. Predeceased by her son-in-law Alex Mekker (1974). Barbara was an active member of the Hungarian Presbyterian Church and owned and operated the BP Service Station in Dain City for many years. The family will receive friends at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Sunday, October 14th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Hungarian Presbyterian Church, 142 Second Street, Welland on Monday, October 15th at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Fonthill Cemetery.
