ALCOTT, Ernest “Ernie“- Unexpectantly, but peacefully at the Wellington Terrace, Fergus on Tuesday October 9th, 2007, in his 94th year, formerly of Port Colborne and Georgetown. Devoted husband of Edith for the past 71 years. Beloved father of Barbara and her husband Bob Yowart of Fergus and Bob and his wife Anja of Kitchener. Cherished grandfather of David (Janet), Bradley (Leslie), Jeff and Susie and great grandfather of Jesse, Alicia, Dylan and Bradley. Predeceased by his sisters Lillian Marchment (Varley), Edith Hillier, Florence Alcott, Ethel King, Dorothy Wright and by his brother Gordon Alcott. Ernie was a WW II Veteran, and a long time member and served as a Sunday School Superintendent for the United Church of Canada and long time member and Past President of the Lions Club. Ernie will be remembered for his wonderful personality and his great sense of humour and will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. “May he rest in peace“. JONES & SON FUNERAL HOME, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877- 3631 on Friday October 12th, 2007 at 1:00 pm until time of Funeral Service held in the chapel at 2:00 pm.
