KOVACH, Louis - Suddenly, Thursday October 18, 2007 in Buffalo N.Y. Louis Kovach passed away in his 80th year. Born in Montreal February 16, 1928 he lived for many years in Port Colborne before moving to Kenmore N.Y. where he resided for more than 50 years. He worked for Robinhood Multifoods (International Milling) in Montreal and Buffalo for many years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Louis met the love of his life Helen Lash and together for 18 years enjoyed cottaging, walks along the river, gardening but most of all spending time with their family and cats. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Suzanne Kovach, sisters Isabel Krahn, Irene Vinnai and his beloved Helen Lash. He is survived by and will forever be loved and missed by nieces Deborah Karolyi (Joseph), Heidi Taylor (Russell), nephews John Vinnai Jr. and Edward Krahn Jr., brother-in-law John Vinnai. Cherished by great nieces Stacy Karolyi, Rachel, Meghan and Sarah Taylor. Will always be remembered by Bernie Lash, Cindy Novak and Stephen Lash and their families. Louis's Family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Wednesday from 10:30 – 12:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following visitation on Wednesday October 24, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's R.C. Church with Father Brian Bevan as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Mount St. Joseph Cemetery, Port Colborne. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the Arthritis Society.
